1. Overview
These terms cover custom logo design commissions through Jelann Arts. Starting a project means you agree to the terms below.
2. Services
Jelann Arts provides custom logo design — Standard and Professional packages, as described on the pricing page. No other design services are included unless separately agreed.
3. Pricing
Standard is $90 and Professional is $150. Rush orders add 25% of the base package price. Additional revisions add 10% of the base package price, per revision. All add-ons are calculated from the original base price, not a running total.
4. Payment
Projects require 50% payment upfront and 50% upon completion. Work begins once the upfront payment is received. Payments are non-refundable once work has started, except where stated otherwise in Section 10.
5. Revisions
This is the most important section — please read it. Revisions exist to refine the logo that was already created for your project: adjusting colors, refining typography, minor shape changes, adjusting proportions, small composition changes, or refining details.
A revision is not a way to request an entirely different project for the same price. Requests for a completely different concept, a new symbol, a new direction, or unrelated artwork are treated as a new project, which may require a new quote — even if it's for the "same" logo.
6. Project Scope
Revisions are based on the original project brief and the direction you approved. If the brief changes after work has begun, or you request something substantially different from what was approved, Jelann Arts may treat it as a new project requiring a separate quote. Small, reasonable adjustments to the existing concept are not treated this way — this is a judgment call based on whether the request refines the existing work or replaces it.
7. Rush Orders
A rush fee (+25% of base price) secures priority scheduling and a faster turnaround. It does not include extra revisions or additional work beyond the selected package.
8. Final Files
Final logos are delivered as PNG by default. SVG is provided when technically appropriate and when the logo's complexity allows for a clean vector export. Editable source/working files (such as Affinity Designer files) are not included by default. Source files may be provided upon request and may be subject to an additional fee, depending on the project and file requirements. The designer is not required to provide internal working files, drafts, unused concepts, or other production files unless explicitly agreed upon before delivery.
9. Client Responsibilities
To keep a project on track, please provide a usable brief, relevant references, clear direction, and timely feedback. If direction changes substantially after a concept has been approved, the resulting work may be treated as a new project under Section 6.
10. Cancellation / Refunds
If a project is cancelled before work begins, the upfront payment may be refunded at Jelann Arts' discretion. Once work has started, the upfront payment is non-refundable, as it covers time already spent on the project.
11. Usage & Ownership
Upon full payment, the client receives ownership of the final approved logo design and may use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the final logo for their project or brand. Ownership applies only to the final approved design delivered to the client and does not transfer until the commission has been paid in full.
The designer retains ownership of unused concepts, rejected drafts, sketches, working files, and other unused design explorations unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12. Communication
Project communication happens primarily through Discord. Please keep feedback and responses reasonably timely so your project can stay on schedule.
13. Agreement
By submitting a quote request or starting a project, you confirm that you've read and agree to these terms, including the revision and scope policies above.
